CALIDOSCOPI Last 1st of April an exhibition of Manresa's history was inaugurated in "Centre Cultural el Casino". Inside this exhibition we can find a PTV, as an example of our past industry. Most of the people of Manresa didn't know anything about the car, and thanks to things like this our beloved car is more known among the population everyday. This exhibition puts the microcar in a very important place in our local history. I traduce you the text placed close to the microcar in the exhibition:

"One of the most attractive industrial and sophisticated products made in Manresa is the microcare PTV, devised by manresans (Perramon, Tachó and Vila) and produced in the city between 1956 and 1961. This is one of the symbols of the initiative and the industrial activity in Manresa and of the genius of its medium class. Although there are aspects that are more significant from a historical point of view, the PTV it is the symbol of the modern Manresa. The history of the PTV began the 1950 with the creation of different prototypes handmade by their inventor. Between 1956 and 1961 it is produced in serial production and its sold all over Spain arriving to 1.100 units sold. The introduction of the SEAT 600 put an end to the industry of the microcar and with their projects of expansion. AThis chapter follows that of "The utopian" Manresa because somehow the PTV was an illusion, the utopia of an industry that couldn't arrive to develop, although the managers of the old PTV converted its company toward a prosperous industry of industrial automobilism."
