PTV 250 GE 25.577
I started looking for a PTV in 1990, because of my fascination for small cars, and due to the fact that they were manufactured in Manresa. It was not easy at all, but it was a matter of patience, reading different car magazines and many telephone calls. At the end, I found a PTV 250 with a license plate GE-25.577. It was not in very good condition, but enthusiasm beat reason and the PTV arrived at Manresa on January 2001.
Restoration was done by specialists in the car, including some that worked in the original PTV production fifty years ago, like mr. Tuset and mr. Josep Tachó. The people that worked in the reconstruction, were: body – Planxisteria Sant Joan, wheels – Morros Trullàs, engine – Monza Automoció, electricity – Mr. Josep Tachó, upholstery – Mr. Tuset, painting – Planxisteria Sant Joan.
The presentation of the car was in the IV Microcar meeting in Manresa, the 23rd of may 1993, and my PTV won the first price in restored microcars. I have won some other prices with it in different meetings (a total of 4). This vehicle has taken part in a lot of meetings since then, and it has represented the Clàssic Motor Club del Bages in some fairs (Barcelona on 1995 and Mollerussa on 2000). It has also appeared in the press (Motor Clásico August 1999 and La Vanguardia 3rd of July 2001).
This PTV is a very reliable car, very funny driving, and I hope we will drive a lot more kilometres during a lot of time. Nowadays, it is exposed in the Clàssic Motor Club del Bages, waiting for the next meeting.
