History of a PTV collection
One conversation with a friend, who is a vehicle collector, lead us to comment on the origin of his collection, which was initiated in the 70s.
His father used a PTV as a habitualcar in the 60s, therefore he got certain love for the model, this made him start looking for one, until he found a PTV in the mid 70s.
By that time, he bought it very cheap and the car also functioned. The initial success brought him to keep on looking for some other cars, with the intention of avoiding its disappearance, he found some PTVs in better or worse conditions and he even found a van, which worked perfectly.The last step took place when AUSAcleaned out all the spare parts that were left from the fabrication of the PTV and the first Dumpers, then, he was able to collect , nearly as a gift, all the spare parts that he could need.
Nowadays ,my collector friend, whose name I am not going to mention, has a part of a SEAT 600, which is also one ofhis favourite cars, a couple of PTV in good state, the PTV vanand some other remains of other vehicles.
